With respect to your comparison to USC, the Trojans’ strength of schedule is usually in the top ten while the Buckeyes is usually in the 60 to 70 range. This year OSU played non-conference games against such perennial powerhouses as Akron, Kent State, and Youngstown State. You pad your win/loss with powderpuff teams and you might actually back into the BCS championship game. THAT will be a crime.

p.s. I’m hoping for a OSU/USC Rose Bowl. An old classic rivalry revisited. They’ve met 7 times in the Rose Bowl…with SC up 4 – 3.

This is a strawman argument. Since Jim Tressel, I have not heard peole critizing OSU for their performance in big games.

However, that’s why John Cooper was fired – he couldn’t beat Michigan and he struggled in bowl games.

Since then, though, I haven’t heard that knock against OSU.
